The Medicus Learning System was developed to provide players with immediate and concrete feedback so they could practice and play with confidence. Until now golfers have had to rely on the theories and interpretations of teaching professionals, books, videos, and tips from friends and other golfers. TaylorMade Performance Lab Validates Medicus Claims of Success:
Medicus knew its products worked but wanted to demonstrate scientifically that its claims were accurate. The company went to TaylorMade Golf and its TaylorMade Performance Lab (located at Kip Puterbaugh's Aviara Golf Academy), the world's most sophisticated, accurate and objective measuring and fitting system available today. While in no way agreeing to endorse Medicus swing trainers, TaylorMade agreed to perform testing on the Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver.
A random sampling of 20 golfers were chosen as a test group. Golfers' baseline swings were measured in the Performance Lab and then measured again after practicing for 15 to 20 minutes with the Medicus Dual Hinged Driver. Several positive trends emerged within this test group: Three quarters of the test group gained additional swing speed, and a full third of the group realized a dramatic increase. One participant increased her average swing speed from 53.4 to 63 miles per hour. Another participant showed dramatic improvement with his swing plane, going from an average swing and a weak outside to in and over-the-top 4.2 degrees, to an inside approach at the ball of 1.5 degrees.
Based on the results from this test group it appears that practicing with Medicus will help produce a smoother, more consistent swing while adding distance and achieving greater accuracy. As one participant commented, "Learning how your swing was before and then after swinging the Medicus made a world of difference with my swing. You just couldn't ask for anything better than what was accomplished today."
